Get Rid of Grubs With Farison

What are grubs?Grubs are small beetle larvae that feed on the roots of grass and plants. If left unchecked, grubs can cause serious damage to your lawn and make it look patchy and unhealthy. They generally stay out of sight as they chew off the roots of your grass.

How do I know if I have grubs? The first sign may be patches of dry or dead grass where the roots have been destroyed. Checking for grubs is simple. Just grab hold of any brown patch in your lawn and give a tug. If you have grubs, the grass will pull up like a carpet or a new piece of sod, because there are no roots to hold it in place. Usually if grass is loose, you’ll see the grubs lying on the soil just above the thatch layer.

How can Farison Lawn Care help?

We recommend our supplemental Grub Control Service to help prevent grubs from destroying your beloved greenspace. Our Grub Control Service, applied in May through June, protects your lawn from grubs before they become a problem. We use a granular product that poses minimal risk to humans, birds, and fish, and create an invisible artificial barrier around the grass and plants, keeping them safe from grubs and other pests. The treatment helps promote your lawn’s overall health by providing essential nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and more directly into its root system. This helps create stronger grass blades able to stand up to heat and drought while also staying greener longer during colder months. Since prevention is key, our professionals will keep an eye out for any signs of grubs or potential infestations so that we can quickly take action if needed. We pride ourselves on being proactive in order to give you the best possible outcome for a healthy lawn all year round!

Timing is important when it comes to controlling grubs, so contact us today to learn more about how we can protect your lawn and maintain its overall health.
