What Is Aeration?

Aeration is a process that helps promote healthy turf growth by opening pathways for air, water, and fertilizer to reach the root systems of your grass more easily. This creates better soil structure that helps improve drainage and allows oxygen and other nutrients to get directly to the roots. It also reduces compaction, which can occur in areas where there’s a lot of foot traffic or construction activities. Aeration can reduce water run-off and improve water absorption by allowing oxygen into the soil so plants can take up more water. What Is Overseeding?

Our Aeration and Overseeding Service includes two key steps – aerating first with a power tine-aerator, followed by overseeding with a seed spreader.
